Dear BRASS Supporters:

After a careful review of ongoing challenges facing our organization, specifically increasing costs related to fund raising and declining membership, the BRASS Board of Directors has decided to discontinue all BRASS operations and dissolve the organization.

BRASS, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has been an all-volunteer group dedicated to supporting the Jacksonville Symphony and fostering the appreciation of fine music in our local community. We have achieved a great deal together over the past 30 years. This includes contributing over $1 million in financial support to the Symphony, promoting concert attendance, bringing performances to the Jacksonville Beaches area, providing music education, and mentoring young musicians through the BRASS Ring Student Music Competition.

While this chapter of our organization is coming to a close, the Board strongly believes the Symphony is an important part of our community and will continue to support the Symphony as individuals through other efforts.  

After settling outstanding obligations, all remaining assets of the organization will be contributed to the Symphony.  Please direct any questions regarding the Board’s decision to BrassJax@gmail.com.
